fatigue, possibly related to lyme disease or lyme-related fibro
I am so tired all the time. I've been getting lots of sleep this weekend. I have a friend coming over to draw tonight and then go out for a beer later, and I just want to stay in and rest. Anything I can do to boost my energy?

Take a cold shower and put heavy/loud music on.

Coxsaxie virus is extremely common and appears in the autumn and spring, when the seasons change. For people with weakened immune systems, for whatever reason, the virus can stay in the system for months instead of the usual week. Often improperly diagnosed as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Muscle Flukes are parasites that live in ocean water, and are in most fish. Once ingested, they can find their way into the muscles. Usually the muscles of the arms, legs, and spine. This is one reason why people shouldn't eat raw fish, or if they do, they should eat it with a highly acid sauce in order to kill the parasites. Wasabi also kills the parasites, and sushi sauce often has both wasabi and vinegar. Some studies suggest over half of all fibro cases are due to flukes. Muscle flukes are fairly easy to treat, however, if the doctor knows to treat them. About 25% is due to depression, which is why doctors often prescribe antidepressants for it. The remaining is usually due to chronic fatigue. See above.

I'll admit I said "possibly" related to lyme, because I keep desperately hoping it'll go away and be something else that's more treatable, much in the same way I keep hoping I'll win the lottery, which would be some trick considering I don't buy tickets. I'm not looking to re-diagnose myself via internet forums, I'm looking for ways to battle the pain and fatigue. We know damn good and well it's chronic lyme. It's just that denial is always more appealing. I have exhausted all conventional treatments covered by insurance. And quite frankly, I've become convinced that the medical profession just doesn't know enough about it to treat it yet. My doctor urged me to seek out "alternative" treatments, because there's nothing conventional medicine can do for me anymore.

Oh how I wish that would work.

I can't think of anything (legal) that would give you a boost. Sometimes the thought of the effort you need to make to go somewhere is exhausting in itself! But often making that effort to go out means you end up having a nice time, and I'm sure your friend is looking forward to it.
Big hugs.
